Your Nintendo Switch may fail to pickup that there is a gamecard inserted into the system, it may also display errors messages upon insertion or ejection of the gamecard.
This repair is for the Nintendo Switch. We have separate repair pages for the Nintendo Switch Lite and Nintendo Switch OLED.

Why Does It Happen?
This issue can occur from mechanical/physical damage to the gamecard slot, other causes can be mishandling the console, dropping the console repeatedly or insertion of faulty gamecards.

How Do We Fix It?
We disassemble the Nintendo Switch console, we then test the gamecard daughterboard, the mainboard and the physical board to board connector used to connect the gamecard slot to the console, after diagnosis we will carry out the necessary repairs, run a set of comprehensive tests on the console to ensure that all functions are working as intended.

90 Minutes
If you would like your repair completed within 90 minutes, we offer this for an additional fee of £25. This service is first-come, first-served.
Next Day
Our standard service is next day by 1PM. You can bring the console in anytime during the opening hours and it will be repaired and ready for collection by 1PM the following day. There is no extra charge for our next day service and it is always available.

For this repair you would need to bring your Nintendo Switch console.
12 month Guarantee
All of our repairs come with a 12 month guarantee. This starts on the date that is printed on the customer receipt and finishes 12 months later. In the unlikely event that the same fault reoccurs, we will fix it again free of charge. If repair is not possible then a full refund will be offered.
Full Check-up
We extensively test consoles both before and after repairs. If additional problems are found, we will always contact you before carrying out any work on the console. We will never charge you for work you haven't agreed to.
Keep Your Game Saves.
This repair does not require us to wipe data on the Nintendo Switch's internal storage. We also do not require the console to be formatted to perform our full range of comprehensive checks.
No Fix No Fee
If your console is beyond repair or the repair would be uneconomical then there is no charge at all.

Payment On Collection
Payment can be made by cash or card when you collect, you don't need to pay anything when you drop it off. You are welcome to test your device at our workshop before making payment.

Side note: Parking on Burford Road is a bit of a nightmare, don’t do what I did and think you can just nip into the car park of Buzz Bingo round the corner for 5 mins - their minimum parking charge is £10 for 2 hours!

Recently brought my Nintendo Switch in for a charging port replacement after my daughter damaged it with a wrong cable. From the start it was very easy dealing with this this business, received a quick response to my enquiry, arranged a date and was sent a reminder text including details of the address and my time slot. Fantastic service from start to finish. I called in to see if coving had impacted the service but Chris said he was still taking appointments and I got same day service for my Nintendo Switch.
I arrived at 5pm with my Nintendo Switch with a charging issue and Chris suggested that it could be the port, battery or board and that he'd find out I'm about an hour or so.
I went for a walk and 90 mins later I got a call and it was already fixed.
